
Bangor - With sadness, love and gratitude, the children of Dorothy have announced her passing on July 26, 2024, at Northern Light Medical Center in Bangor. Dottie was born in St. John N.B. but later moved to Brewer, Maine. Dottie graduated from Brewer High School, Class of 1968, and Beal College. In her adult years Dottie worked at different jobs from waitressing to being a secretary at Stearns High School, Glenburn School and Airline Academy in Florida. Recently she worked at WBRC in Bangor, where she was the voice of the company.
Dottie is survived by her son, Joseph and wife, Missy, of Millinocket; daughter, Tammi of Fort Worth, Texas; her grandsons, Nathanial McNeely and Michael Clark; granddaughters, Maggie McNeely and Casey Freeman; as well as her great-grandson, Lane;
her brother, Dana Frederick; sisters, Paula Frederick and Kathy (Shawn) Johnson; her special cousins, Joan (Ron) Trembly and Michael Kavanaugh; a special sister-in-law, Dee Frederick; her special nieces, Christian and Chelsea Frederick and Heather Carlisle; and nephew, Gabriel Frederick; as well as numerous cousins. Dottie also leaves behind special friends, Margaret Ann Guthrie and (Ret) SFC Gary R. McNeely. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Ann Frederick; and brothers, James, Darien and Shawn Frederick.
Dottie was an active member of Daughters of Isabella Ave Maria Circle #422. In her free time, she welcomed home troops by being a troop greeter at BIA and walking in the Cancer care walk in Brewer, every year for her brothers.
A church service will be held at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Brewer, 425 S. Main St., Brewer, ME at 11 a.m. on Sept. 14, 2024.
