Orrington - John "Ron" Ronald Libby, 71, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2021, at his home. He was born April 19, 1950, in Bangor, the son of Paul W. and Joan (Henderson) Libby. Ron graduated from Brewer High School.
Prior to venturing out on his own as a carpenter, he worked with Bud Grant in his early years. Ron was an avid fisherman and there are great memories of spending time at the family camp on Hopkins Pond, camping at Lilly Bay and times on his boat. He enjoyed following all the New England sports teams.
He is survived by his loving life partner of 29 years, Willow Leavitt; a son, Ron Martin and wife, Tracy, of Wiscasset; two brothers, James Libby and wife, Diana, and David Libby and wife, Susan; grandchildren, Emma, Jackson and Brantley; and nephews, Chris and Jon. Ron will also be dearly missed by the entire Leavitt family.
