Verona - Charles Paul Russell, 72, of Eddington ME, and Verona, KY, passed away August 27, 2022 from a long battle with cancer. He died at home where he wanted to be surrounded by family and friends.
Charlie was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Retia; son, Joshua Shayne; and brother, Jimmy. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lauren (Nowell); son, Kevin; granddaughter, Makala; daughter, Heidi and her husband, Gene; grandchildren, Zyanne, Malakai, and Logan; son, Ryan; grandchildren, Gavin and Ryleigh; sister, Carolyn Percival; brother, Bobby and wife, Rosie; sister, Rita and husband, Tom; brother, Stevie and wife, Cathy; and sister-in-law, Catherine Cote Russell; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Charlie grew up in Eddington, ME. He worked for Delta Airlines retiring after 30 years. He had 20 years of retirement with the last six years being his happiest, spending lots of time with his granddaughter, Ryleigh.
No services will be held as he requested, however we do appreciate your love and support during this difficult time. A special thank you to our friends Steve and Paulette Hogan. The love, care, and support they gave us before, during, and after this difficult time was above and beyond.
