Orrington - Gloria J. (Wood) McLaughlin, 74, passed away at home, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Gloria was born February 24, 1950, to the late Nathaniel and Marion Wood.
Gloria was a 1968 graduate of Brewer High School. After graduation, she worked as a switchboard operator for many years. Gloria was a great wife, mother, and friend to all that knew her. She was a member of the Central Maine Street Rods Club.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Tim (Mac); her daughter, Tammy and her partner, Lisa; her son, Timothy (TJ); her brother, Nathaniel (Chuck) Wood and his wife, Nancy; and her sister, Brenda Wright and her husband, Steve. The family would like to send a special thank you to Teresa Dore for all of her help and to Patti Fournier for being there for Gloria. A grateful thank you to Bristol Hospice for their wonderful care over the last few months. Thank you, Jenna for your amazing care.
Per Gloria's wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to My Friend's Place, 703 Essex Street, Bangor, ME 04401, to assist with their care of people with Alzheimer's Disease.
