Orrington - Anita June Higgins, 71, passed away in the early morning hours on November 25, 2023, at a Bangor hospital. She was born on May 14, 1952, in Orrington, the daughter of the late Adelbert and Beatrice (Adams) Dunton.
Anita is survived by her loving husband, Douglass, of Orrington; sisters, Belinda Small, of Florida, Annette Rideout (her twin), of Millinocket, and Dorothea England, of Bangor; and brother, Dudley Dunton, of Oregon; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her dog, and best friend, Charlie. Anita will always be remembered for her sense of humor and quick wit.
