Glenburn - Jessica F. Cooke, 72, of Glenburn, Maine, passed away after a brief battle with cancer, on July 4, 2023. She was born on July 24, 1950, in Lincoln, the youngest daughter of Jesse and Ruth Severance.
Jessica graduated from Brewer High School in 1970. Following graduation, she proudly worked for local representatives advocating for women's rights and community outreach. In 1980, she welcomed her daughter, Jaime, and focused on family life. Some of her fondest memories were serving lunches for senior citizens at the Corinth United Methodist Church and supporting local charities. She loved to share her floral arrangements and was always testing her skills by experimenting with new crafts. In later years, she worked in housekeeping at Eastern Maine Medical Center and cherished many of the relationships she formed during her time there.
She was predeceased by her parents; brother-in-law, Arthur Doyle; brother-in-law, Kenneth Arey; and numerous aunts and uncles. Jessica leaves behind her daughter, Jaime and son-in-law, Robert Jarvis, of Bangor; sisters, Sheila Doyle, Barbara and her husband, Edward Pomeroy, and Betty Arey; her dear friend, Polly Grass; and several special nieces, nephews, and cousins. She had a special place in her heart for her four-legged pals and would constantly remind us to give them extra treats.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
