Erma-Jean Worster (Walsh) - Class Of 1970

Brewer - Jean (Erma) Walsh, 70, died peacefully on April 11, 2022, with her loving partner, Chuck Somers, by her side, after a brief but courageous second battle with cancer. She fought to the very end and never once was anything but positive and never complained.
Jean was born on April 7, 1952, the daughter of Cecil and Geraldine Worster. She graduated from Brewer High School before spending most of her adult life raising her family in Millinocket. After the mill closings, Jean moved back to the Bangor area and obtained her CNA license to do what she did best; taking care of people. She spent the last few years working for Loving Touch In-home Care. The families that she worked with meant so much to her and she would even visit them when she wasn't working.
Besides her partner, Jean is survived by her three children: Erika Baker and favorite son-in-law, Al Baker, of Hermon, Justin Walsh and wife, Stephanie, of Portland, and Shane Walsh and partner, Maryann Durocher, of Bangor; seven grandchildren: Evan, Chayce, McKenna, Madison, Dylan, Emmett and Ainsley; two great grandchildren: Ashton and Riley Beck; two bonus daughters: Kelly and Emily Finson; sisters: Barbara Bowden and husband, Gary, of Scarborough, and Lucy McAvoy of Bangor and brothers: Timothy Worster and wife, Lillian, of Brewer, Terry Worster and wife, Peggy, of Hermon; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Jean is also survived by her best friend of over 50 years, Freda Ryan, whose friendship she treasured.
She was predeceased by her parents, Gerry and Cecil; her brother, Skip Worster; her former husband and father of her children, Randy Walsh; and two great grandchildren, Braydon and Carson Beck.
The family will have a celebration of life for all to remember Jean on Sunday, May 22, 2022, from 12-2 p.m. at Jeff's Catering, 15 Eventcenter Way, Brewer.
Jean was an avid collector of soda tabs for The Ronald McDonald House and the charity was near to her heart. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in Jean's name to The Ronald McDonald House, 654 State St., Bangor, ME 04401.
