Moncks Corner, SC - Rodney George Copeland, passed away on December 30, 2022, in Charleston, SC.
He was born June 8, 1954, in Topeka, KS, the firstborn of 4 to Albert and Cora Copeland. He spent his childhood in Orrington, ME, and followed in his father's footsteps by joining the United States Air Force. After serving, he spent his family years raising his girls in Scarborough, ME. He retired from United Airlines in Las Vegas Nevada, and then spent his retirement years in Moncks Corner, SC.
He loved his home state of Maine, his softball memories, his collections, his two daughters, and four grandchildren.
Rodney was predeceased by his father, Albert Copeland and survived by his mother, Cora Copeland; sister, Cathi Hudson and husband, Toni; brothers, Tom Copeland and wife, Judy, and Chris Copeland; his children, Angela Copeland, Nicole Baker her husband, Evan; his grandchildren, Kiley and Evan Rideout, Bayleigh and Jackson Baker.
His family will receive friends at a reception on June 10, 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the First United Church of Orrington, 14 Center Dr, Orrington, ME 04474.
