Bangor - On February 19, 2019, our blessed , beloved mother and loving wife, Grammie and best friend entered into the presence of our Holy Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We take comfort and peace in knowing that her last breath on earth was her first of many eternal breaths in heaven. She slipped peacefully from this earth, into heaven, at home and was surrounded by her loving family.
Audrey Marie Gray Murray was born on January 22, 1954, in Caribou, Me., to Norman R. and Illarene Gray. She graduated from Brewer High School, in 1972, and then went on to the University of Maine at Machias, earning her associates degree in Business Administration. She graduated from UMM, in 1974.
Audrey met the love of her life and husband of almost 45 years, Robert Murray, in 1972. They were married on March 29th, 1974, and together raised their two, cherished children, Anthony James and Julie Ann Murray, in Bangor.
Audrey was a loving, devoted, selfless, loyal, giving and amazing wife, mother, grammie and friend. Her joy was her family and serving the Lord, through her time spent volunteering, helping others in any way possible and spreading her love for Jesus. She not only talked the talk but she certainly walked the walk. Her example and love for others will forever stay in the hearts of all those whose lives she influenced and touched.
Audrey was an active member of Bangor Baptist Church, now known as Crosspoint Church, in Bangor. Her and her husband most recently became members of The River Church, in Bangor. She enjoyed spending her time worshiping God and sharing times of fellowship with her special friends, within the ministry that God called her to. River Church became her home away from home and she considered them like her extended family and brothers and sisters in Christ. Pastor Steve and Pastor Rich, among others, were so very near and dear to her heart.
Audrey enjoyed her life to the fullest. She loved to laugh and spread her joy. Her joy was her family and she loved spending time with them. We will forever cherish our memories of birthdays, holidays, BBQ's, and countless times spent together. She will forever be missed but never forgotten. We are forever blessed by her life and we have peace in knowing that we will see her again some sweet day, in heaven. John 3:16- For God so loved the world that her gave his only son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life.
