Sharon L. Burdy Died - October 4, 2011 Mystic - Sharon L. (Smith) Burdy, 69, of Mystic, beloved wife of the late Frank J. Burdy, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Mystic Healthcare and Rehab Center. Born in Bangor ME she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Madelyn (Davis) Smith. Sharon has spent the last 37 years living in Mystic and was a member of the Victory Bible Baptist Church in Ledyard. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and a former Girl Scout Leader. Sharon was also an avid computer game player, enjoyed traveling and knitting, but most of all loved spending time with her grandkids. She leaves behind her three children; Michelle Houle and her husband, Joseph, of Mystic, Leslie Jo Smith and her husband, Joshua of Ledyard, and Chris Burdy and his wife, Jennifer, of Quaker Hill; her brother, Davis Smith and his wife, Julie, of Mystic; ten grandchildren and her beloved dog Dusty. Her family will receive friends today from 6-9 P.M. at the Mystic Funeral Home, Route 1 Mystic. A graveside service will be held Friday, October 7, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Elm Grove Cemetery, Route 27 Mystic.
