Dedham - Charles Robert Adams Sr. passed away December 21, 2023, after a long illness. He was born July 16, 1944, to Gordon "Jimmie" R J Adams I and Frances D. (Merrill) Adams in Brewer, ME.
He was predeceased by both of his parents; his brother, Harvard M. Adams; and his beloved son, Charles R. Adams Jr. He is survived by his children, Cheryl A. (Adams) Morrill and husband, David, of Lakeland, FL, and Gordon R J Adams II of Holden, ME; his grandchildren, Zackary Adams and wife, Rebecca, of FL, David Morrill II of FL, and Gregory Morrill and spouse, Sarah, of Bangor, Savanna Adams and spouse, Alex, of Ellsworth, Logan Adams and wife, Heather, of Dedham, and Noelle Kuti and husband, Hayden, of Ellsworth; and several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Richard D. Adams of Holden; and sister, Dorthy R. Adams of Ellsworth.
His favorite spot in his last few years was at his son Gordon's home sitting by the stream - he spoke of this often. Charlie was an engineer for Maine Central Railroad in his early career. He was a successful business man throughout his life with several endeavors that he ran. He loved to hunt, fish and spend time with family and friends.
A private service for his family will be held at a later date.
