Peter R. Beatham, 79, husband of Mary Ann Beatham, passed March 14, 2025, at his home in Brewer. He was born July 21, 1945, in Brewer, the son of Roland K. and Lorraine (Hewes) Beatham.
Peter was a longtime resident of Brewer, graduating from Brewer High School in 1963, and also earned a bachelor's degree from University of Maine. Peter was a founding partner of Loiselle & Beatham, and later a founding partner of the accounting firm, Beatham, Bernier, Seekins & Colpritt in Brewer. He enjoyed racing horses throughout the northeast and loved to golf. Peter spent lots of time on golf courses beginning with Pine Hill Golf Course in Brewer when it was still a cow pasture. He played many rounds at Pine Hill and enjoyed 4 holes-in-one over his career. Peter also served on the board of the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
Surviving in addition to his wife of Brewer are three children, Kim Smith and her husband, Ryan, of Skowhegan, Jeff Beatham of Bangor, and Mary Scribner and her husband, Christopher, of Linneus; grandchildren, Adam and his wife, Makiyla, Emma, Tyler, and Amelia; great-grandchildren, Colson and Hazel; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and by his sister, Barbara St. Clair.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2025, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church, 531 North Main St., Brewer. Burial will be at Mt.
