BANGOR - Dorothy A. DeBeck, 67, died March 14, 2012, at a Bangor hospital. She was born April 5, 1945, in Bangor, the daughter of Lee B. and Vera C. (Blanchard) DeBeck. Dorothy was a successful breeder of champion cardigan corgis and was a longtime member of Penobscot Valley Kennel Club, Yankee Cardigan Corgi Club and Cardigan Welsh Corgi Club of America. Dorothy is survived by one brother, Carroll L. DeBeck and his wife, Jean, of Eddington; two nephews, Patrick DeBeck of Eddington and Kenneth E. DeBeck Jr. of Lincoln; and great-nieces, Kaylee Michaud, Jessica Forrest-Baldini and Alicia Bassett. She was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth DeBeck Sr. and Mary I. DeBeck. Private burial will be at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery, Orrington.
