
Bangor - Deborah Jayne Gass passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016, surrounded by her loving family, due to complications from diabetes. She was born on November 18, 1948 to Kathleen (McCarthy) and Daniel Gass Sr. Debbie worked for many years at Miller's Dept. Store in Brewer and with Roger Pomroy at his independent insurance agency. She will always be remembered for her generosity and the love she had for her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her brother, Daniel Gass Jr. and his wife Abby, and her brother Dale Gass and his wife Marilyn. Debbie loved all her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. She will be sadly missed by Mindy Silander and her husband Chris, Nick Gass, Mike Gass, Travis Gass and his wife Judi, Tori Wilcox and her husband Jeff, Mackenzie Peters and husband Chris, Danielle Hersam, Kate Hersam, Quentin Hersam, Madison Hersam and Max Lambert. She was also devoted to her great nieces and nephews, Alex, Benjamin, Jacob, Ella, Lydia, Emma and Evan.
We would like to extend our thanks to all of Debbie's loyal friends and neighbors and the staff at EMMC for their love and support.
In respect for Debbie's wishes, there will be no services and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association. There will be a remembrance for Debbie at the Millers Square Place, 315 Harlow Street in Bangor from 11-1 on Sunday, August 28, 2016. Friends may come by to share their memories along with the residents of the place Debbie called home for many years.
