LIMINGTON - Marcia (Gunn) Beaulieu, 61, wife of Rodney R. Beaulieu, died Dec. 9, 2009, at her home, after giving cancer a run for its money for nearly a decade. She was born Feb. 19, 1948, in Bangor, daughter of the late John and Esther Gunn. Marcia was a 1966 graduate of Brewer High School and had a dream childhood, which she spoke of fondly, with memories at summer camp with her sister and time at the family farm in Belfast. Her life was made complete when fate found her - picking up Rodney hitchhiking, and she never dropped him off. Marcia retired from Verizon after 25 years in 1998, followed by several years working at Central Maine Power, where she made lifelong friends. She enjoyed her animals, reading, writing letters she never sent, long rides with her husband, playing Sorry with her sister, Gail, her grandkids and time at Hills Beach. She lived, laughed, loved and laughed some more. Surviving in addition to her husband are children, Zachary Beaulieu of Limington and Sarah Beaulieu of Portland; grandchildren, Cassidy and Isaak Beaulieu of Buxton; sisters, Gail Lee and husband, Carroll, of Brewer and Jennifer Daries of Orono; her best friend, Darlene Emmons of Scarborough; along with several nieces and nephews and many friends. Visiting hours will be 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at Watson, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple St., Cornish, with a short, casual memorial service beginning 2 p.m.
