

Eddington - On June 30th, 2018, George Tardiff, known to his friends as
"Denny" passed away unexpectedly at the age of 69.
A native of South Brewer, and long time Eddington resident,
Denny graduated from Brewer High School in 1966. Known for his sense of humor, hard work ethic and gift to gab, he will be missed greatly by all.
He served in the Ninth Infantry Division in Vietnam and was
awarded the Combat Infantry Badge. As a disabled veteran, he was proactive in many veteran groups throughout the state and huge supporter of Military Veteran's. Denny was a lifelong member of the Exiles and enjoyed the brotherhood of that organization throughout his adult life.
After returning home from Vietnam, Denny worked as a
bricklayer/mason for many years prior to retiring.
He is survived by his children, Lawrence Tardiff and his companion Patti; Laurie Ryan and her husband, Scott, sisters, Elizabeth Burchard, Theresa Wyzkowski, Sue Ellen Magee, grandchildren, Noah and Christian Tardiff, cats Cricket and Choppy as well as several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his Father George Tardiff, mother Blanche Barker Emerson and his loving wife Robyn Tardiff.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 3-5 PM, Saturday, July 7th, at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 S. Main Street, Brewer. Interment will be at a later date at Eddy Cemetery in Eddington, Maine. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be sent to the Bangor Maine Veteran's Home, 44 Hogan Road, Bangor, Maine.
