HOUSTON – Paul Wedge passed away July 26, 2007, in Houston. He was born Nov. 19, 1947, in Bangor, to John and Velma Wedge. He graduated from Brewer High School, Miami Dade Community College and the University of Maine. Paul proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a medical specialist during the Vietnam War. He received several medals and commendations. Paul met his wife, Carol, while attending college in Miami. They made their home in Miami for almost 40 years, where they raised their family and Paul enjoyed his favorite pastime, sport fishing for dolphin. After retirement in 2006, Paul and Carol moved to Houston. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Carol; daughter, Teri Wedge and her fianc?, Mark Frey, of Margate, Fla.; daughter, Nicole Champenoy and her husband, Jamy, of Houston; sisters, Judy Wedge and Connie Wedge; niece, Carrie Wedge; and nephews, Dennis and Scott. Paul also leaves behind his faithful companions, Beanie, Milo and Puppy. Paul was blessed to have remained close to his many friends in Maine. His good nature and smile will be missed by all. A private service was held in Houston for the immediate family, however the family will travel to Brewer at a future date to receive friends.
