Holden and Otis - Sandra Jane (Lear) Cust, 81, passed away peacefully July 10, 2023. She was born on May 8, 1942, the daughter of Arthur and Jane Lear.
Sandra grew up in Holden, and graduated in 1960 from Brewer High School.
Sandra married her husband, Paul, in Holden, on August 16, 1961, and spent the next 54 years happily enjoying life.
Sandra was predeceased by her husband, Paul; her parents; and brother, Alan Lear. She leaves behind her son, Paul; and daughter-in-law, Kim; granddaughter, Bailey; bonus grandchildren, Austyn and Jonathan; sister-in-law, Cynthia Lear of Damariscotta; her brother, David and sister-in-law, Melissa Lear, of Holden; and nephews, Alex Lear and Josh Lear. She also leaves behind many special friends.
Sandra enjoyed summers at Beech Hill Pond and traveling with her husband Paul in their RV, they made it to 46 states.
Sandra did not want to have a funeral. As we learned over the last few years it is the quality of life that matters the most. Enjoy a whoopie pie, have a strawberry shake or both and think of Sandra when you do!
