Merrill Warren - Class Of 1960

Ralph Brewer and San Pedro, CA - Ralph Merrill Warren, 78, of San Pedro, CA, formerly of Brewer, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021. He was born September 15, 1942, in Brunswick, ME, and was predeceased by his parents, Ralph H. Warren and Dorothy E. (Drew) Warren.
Ralph "Butch" graduated from Brewer High School in the class of 1960. After graduating he joined the Army and was in the 82nd Airborne Division, stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. After serving in the Army, he moved to California and worked at ALCOA for several years. He then worked at Zim Container in Long Beach, until he retired.
Ralph had a happy childhood growing up in Brewer. In the summer, his parents would rent a camp at Cold Stream Pond. Butch and his sister Barbara enjoyed many happy, adventurous vacations at Cold Stream with family and friends. Butch loved to play cards and many of his high school friends joined in the games "down cellar" at the family home. Ralph had a kind heart and was always willing to help. Ralph had many friends in Brewer and maintained close contact with his "best buddy" and friend, Charles Cook of Dedham, ME. He was also close friends with the Navarro family of CA, and would spend holidays with them. Their daughter, Alison, held a special place in his heart and he was very proud of her.
Butch will be missed by his sister, Barbara Warren Reynolds of Bangor, ME; and his nephews, Robert Reynolds of Florida, and Jeffery Reynolds of Massachusetts. Ralph is also survived by his daughter, Kimberly Salazar of Golden Valley, Arizona and her children.
Rest in peace, Butch. Love U, Barb.
