Glenburn - Ruth Durant, our dear sweet mom, mammie and loving wife passed on to eternal life on February 21, 2023, after a short battle with Covid. Ruth was born April 16, 1925, in Brewer Maine to William and Grace Bailey.
She graduated from Brewer schools and there she met her future husband, Erwin. They were married for 71 years, living in Key West, Florida, Panama City, Florida, Rhode Island, and many other places.
She was predeceased by her sister, Glennis; her son, Daniel; and two grandchildren, Sonya and Adam. Ruth, affectionately known as Mammie, is survived by her husband; her son, Steven Durant (Marie), her daughter in law Gail Durant; three grandchildren, Amy, Stacey and Andrew; many great grandchildren, Lindsey, Brooke, Deven, Bladen, Kyler, Connor, and Rosa (Carson - great-greatgrandchild); two step grandchildren, Adam and Nicki Beaulieu; and many, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mammie lived a lovely long and active life, oh - she loved Bingo and her friends all over the country; but especially her dear friends, Alda and Mary at Pushaw Lake. We thank the ladies from Gentiva Hospice - especially Melissa for their kindness and compassionate care. There will be no services. Any memorial gifts can be donated to the Eastern Area Agency on Aging.
