BREWER and BAR HARBOR – Irving A. “Doody” Wilson, 58, died Jan. 3, 2004, at a Bangor hospital after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 3, 1945, in Brewer, the son of William C. and Dorothy M. (King) Wilson. Doody worked as a cook and chef for most of his life. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother and was a friendly, outgoing person who made friends easily. Surviving are two children, Sonya Doucette and her husband, Leon, of St. Leonard, New Brunswick, and Larry Wilson and his wife, Rhonda, of Grand Isle; five grandchildren, Christopher and Matthew Doucette of St. Leonard, New Brunswick, Shelbie and Ashlie Wilson of Van Buren, and Austin Wilson of Grand Isle; three brothers, Merton Wilson and his wife, Arlene, of Virginia Beach, Va., Richard Wilson, Russell Wilson and his wife, Bonnie, all of Brewer; three sisters, Regina Bryant and her husband, Larry, of Ohio, Carol Ammerman, Linda Hewes and her fianc‚, Irving Robinson, all of Brewer; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Connie Jo Kushmerek; and a loyal friend and brother-in-law, Edward Ammerman. He will be remembered by his former wife and special friend, Janet Nadeau of Van Buren.
