WINTERPORT - Arthur Allen Corey born May 15, 1932 and at the age of 82 now knows the true meaning of walking on the streets of gold. The day of rejoicing came on July 5, 2014, and his family is rejoicing today for his new found freedom. He was born in North Brewer the son of the late Allen and Lulu (Bennett) Corey.

Arthur leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Margaret (Huntley) Corey, four daughters and their spouses; Suzanne and Brent Trueworthy, Pamela Seymour, Laurie and Reggie Smith and Elizabath and Allen Kelliher, one brother, Melville and Patricia Corey and one sister, Sandra Corey, 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one on the way, 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews that meant so much to him. He was predeceased by a son-in-law, Dion Seymour Jr.

Arthur loved his many years working at different mills and Parkway Realty. He loved to work on his woodpile and spent many hours hunting with special friends and family. His true passion beyond his family was teaching the Word of GOD through his many years of teaching Sunday school.

The Corey family thanks the CSU staff at EMMC for the wonderful care given to Arthur and his family during this difficult time.

Family and friends are invited to visit 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Avenue, Hampden. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Brooks Pentecostal Church, 178 Monroe Highway, Rt. 139, Brooks, with Pastor Matthew Shaw officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Hampden. Donations in Arthur's memory may be made to Manna Ministries, 629 Main St., Bangor, ME 04401.
