Orrington - Beverly Ann (Hanscom) Rogers, 82, of Orrington, passed away peacefully to be with her beloved daughter, Beth Ann, on January 15, 2022. She was born in Orrington on June 13, 1939, and was a 1957 graduate of Brewer High School.
Bev was an outstanding homemaker and mother of three and grandmother of five. She loved to read and enjoyed knitting and sewing. Bev was an incredible cook and passed on her love of cooking to her daughter, Robin. Bev spent most of her summers camping at special places like Sand Pond of Tacoma Lakes in Monmouth, (with special friends, the Nadeau's), Jenkins Beach, Green Lake, Ellsworth, with her sister, Charlene and husband, Elmer Giffard. In their later years, Bob and Bev enjoyed a seasonal camping lot with her daughter, Angela and husband, Jason, at Whispering Pines on Toddy Pond in Orland.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Robert Rogers; daughters, Robin Michaud of Corinth, Angela and husband, Jason Willard, of Eddington; brother, Harry Hanscom and wife, Judy, of Orrington; sister-in-law, Louise Diedrichsen of Bangor; grandchildren, Robert Michaud of Mass., Ronnie Michaud of Hampden, Bethany, and Aaron and Abbey Willard of Eddington; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews that she held dear. She was preceded by her parents ,Harry and Bernice Hanscom; daughter, Beth Ann Rogers; brother-In-law, Karl Diedrichsen III; niece, Vickie Parsons; brother, George and wife, Ethel Hanscom; Roland and wife, Margaret Hanscom; Wendell and wife, Carolyn Hanscom; sister, Charlene and husband, Elmer Giffard; and sister, Mary and husband, Dana Hamilton.
A graveside service will be held at a later date in spring at Oak Hill Cemetery in Orrington.
