Brewer - Sue Ann (Kiah) Largay, 87, wife of the late F. Thomas Largay, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital
Bangor, ME, on July 16, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 24, 1937, in Bangor, the daughter of Robert and Josephine (Burrill) Kiah.
Sue was a graduate of Brewer High School, class of 1955. She was a faithful member of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Joseph's Church of Brewer and attended St. Vincent de Paul Church in Bucksport while summering on Toddy Pond, Blue Hill. Sue and her husband, Tom, owned and operated grocery stores in Orrington, Belfast and Blue Hill.
Surviving are nine children, F. Thomas Largay Jr. and wife, Bonny, of Orrington, Timothy Largay and wife, Debbie, of Dedham, Terry Ann Ames and husband, Scott, of Orland, Theodore Largay and wife, Cindy, of Bangor, Tamara Davis and husband, Jonathan, of Florida, Tracey McHale and husband, Rick, of Bucksport, Tina Largay of Brewer, Trixie Fucillo of Bangor, and Tonia Bastey and husband, Bob, of Orrington. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; also brother, Dennis Kiah and wife, Betty Ellen, of Brewer; sister, Barbara Wentworth and husband, Al, of Dover-Foxcroft; brothers-in-law, Lawrence Largay and Richard Largay both of Brewer; and several nieces and nephews, including very special nephew, Robert Kiah and wife, Alison, of Holden. Sue was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Tom; her brother, Robert Kiah Jr; and sister-in-law, June Largay.
Friends and family may visit 4-7 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2024, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 531 North Main St., Brewer, followed by burial and committal at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
