Marion Pooler (Dalton) - Class Of 1940

BREWER - Marion P. Dalton, 88, wife of the late Harry J. Dalton, died April 16, 2010, at a Bangor health care center, after a long illness. She was born Feb. 4, 1922, in South Brewer, the daughter of Edward and Mary (Dempsey) Pooler. Marion was a 1940 graduate of Brewer High School and Maine School of Commerce. She worked in the accounting department of Eastern Fine Paper for more than 50 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Brewer, and St. Joseph Altar Rosary. She also was a member of the Altrusa Club and Husson College Alumni Association. She is survived by a special niece, Kathleen Mann of Bangor; a niece, Judy Gentry; a nephew, Thomas Pooler, both of Haymarket, Va.; several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marion was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, in 1999; a brother, Edward Pooler; and a sister, Elaine Mann. The family thanks the staff at Westgate Manor for their wonderful care. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in the beginning of May, at a time to be announced, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Brewer. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor.
