BREWER – Robert Mayo Robinson, 64, who was born Nov. 26, 1940, in Bar Harbor, passed away April 25, 2005, in Stanford, Calif., from a heart-related infection. “Robbie” graduated from Brewer High School in 1958, joined the Army, becoming a paratrooper and later continued his education at the University of Maine and in California schools. For more than 30 years, he excelled in the death care profession, training sales professionals. He loved reading, running marathons, returning to Bar Harbor for seafood and memories, and had a zest for life that was contagious. Survivors include his wife and partner of 13 years, Lisa of California; mother, Grace Shepard of Florida; four devoted children, R. Victoria, Bobbie Ann, Brenda and Robert M. Robinson Jr.; sisters, Joan Bryant and R. Bobbie Black; special nephew and niece, Donnie Thornsburg and wife, Debbie, and Sherrie Scott, all of Florida; several other nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Memorial services were held in California and Florida for him with beautiful video and photographic displays.
