
Madisonville, TN. - Julia Ann Lakeman Pettegrow, age 66, of Madisonville, TN., formerly of Bangor, ME, went home peacefully on Friday, July 2, 2021.
Julia was loved by many nieces and nephews. She spent her time helping the poor and less fortunate. She was a graduate of Beals Business College in Bangor, Maine. She was a business manager/accountant at Job Corps in Bangor, Maine. She was a member of Brewer Calvary Baptist Church. She was the head accountant over three campuses for Houston College.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Pettegrow; parents, LeRoy and Mildred Lakeman; brother, James Lakeman; and sister-in-law, Mary Danforth Lakeman. She is survived by her son, Jason Pettegrow; siblings, Donna Lakeman Orcutt, Grace Lakeman Garrison, David LeRoy Lakeman, Gerald Foster Lakeman and Helen Lakeman Shaw; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
There are no services planned at this time. The family requests that in lieu of flowers or gifts to the family, please make donations to The Salvation Army in memory of Ms. Pettegrow.

Madisonville, TN - Julia Ann Pettegrow, age 66, passed away due to unexpected complications on July 2, 2021, in Knoxville, Tennessee.
She was predeceased by her parents, LeRoy and Mildred Lakeman; and brother, James Lakeman. Julia is survived by her son, Jason Pettegrow; three daughters, Victoria Laurinaitis, Samantha Porter, and Anna Pettegrow; as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Julia is also survived by her brothers, David and Gerald Lakeman; sisters, Helen Shaw, Donna Orcutt, and Grace Garrison; along with several nephews and nieces .
She was a graduate of Beals Business in Bangor, Maine, and was a business manager/accountant at Job Corps in Bangor for many years. She later was the head accountant over three campuses for Houston College in Texas. In her free time, Julia enjoyed helping those less fortunate. She will be sorely missed by all that knew her.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 28, at 2 p.m. at Rowe Cemetery on Levenseller Road in East Holden. Following the service, the family invites relatives and friends to share refreshments at the Snowmobile Club also on Levenseller Road.
