Eddington - Wilbur O. Libby Sr., 96, died November 9, 2023, at a Brewer Assisted Living. He was born October 19, 1927, in Eddington, son of George H. and Jessie (Ireland) Libby.
Wilbur graduated from Brewer High school, Class of 1946. Wilbur and Jean were married on December 23, 1951. Wilbur had a wide range of jobs and worked at Williams Lumber Company in Clifton, prior to retiring. Wilbur and his wife made crafts and went to craft fairs. Wilbur liked to be around people and socialize. Wilbur was a loving brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather. Wilbur was a member of the Grange for 50 years.
Surviving is his daughter, Clara Gail Padilla and husband, Luis, of Ocala, FL; grandson, Luis and wife, Maria, and their children, Lumari and Carmen of Schertz, TX; granddaughter, Maria and husband, Brian, and their children, Gavin, Bella and Elizabeth of Elko, GA; son, Wilbur Libby Jr. of Eddington; granddaughter, Julie Duran and her husband, Jarrod, of Corinth; and great-grandson, Josh; and many other family members.
