Clinton Kilby - Class Of 1949

Clinton  KilbyBREWER AND BANGOR - Clinton M. Kilby Jr., 82, died April 14, 2015, at a Bangor hospital. He was born June 13, 1932, in Stockton Springs, and was a longtime resident of Brewer.

Clinton was a graduate of Brewer High School and served in the U.S. Army for four years. He married Nancy (Quigg) Kilby in 1955 and he worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier, and eventually as a supervisor retiring after 25 years of service. Clinton was involved in coaching Little League and PAL Basketball, and he found enjoyment as a fan of the Red Sox, Patriots and harness racing.

Surviving are two sons, Bill Kilby and his wife, Nettie, of Holden and John Kilby and his wife, Chris, and his only grandchild, Fiona, all of Vista, CA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carol and Donald Luchetti; a special friend, Earlene Beckett; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife and mother of his children, Nancy, in 1978; and and by his second wife, Geneva. Clinton's family gratefully thanks the residential unit of the Maine Veterans Home for their excellent care.
