Helen Thibodeau (Taylor) - Class Of 1950

 HELEN  TAYLORBREWER - Helen M. Taylor, 80, blessed heaven by crossing over after a sudden, brief illness, April 16, 2012, surrounded by her loving family at home. She was born March 9, 1932, in Carroll, daughter of Ralph and Pauline (Blanchard) Thibodeau. Helen grew up in Carroll, attended Carroll Grammar School, Lee Academy, in 1947 moved to Brewer, and graduated from Brewer High School, class of 1950. She met and married her husband of 52 years, Wilfred "Bill" Taylor, and they had six children. Bill and Helen owned Bills Coffee Wagon for 21 years, making many friends and acquaintances at a number of Bangor area businesses, and the Air Nation Guard. Helen attended St. John and St. Joseph Catholic churches. Helen is survived by two sons, Wilfred Jr. "Bill" and his wife, Tina, of Holden, and Daniel and his wife, Bonnie, of Orrington; three daughters, Suzanne and partner, Bonnie King, of Bangor, Lois Commeau and her husband, Dave, of Holden, and Katherine Campbell and her husband, Mike, of Brewer; six grandchildren, Heather Pece and her husband, Travis, of Orrington, Tabitha Watson and her husband, Warren, of Brewer, Jessica Gruber and her husband, David, of Texas, Jennifer Campbell and her fiance, Albert Jackson, of Brewer, Michael Campbell and Rochelle Lawson of Bangor, and James Nickerson and his wife, Christina, of California; four stepgrandchildren, Erica and Angela Commeau, Devon Treadwell and Amy Pearce; nine great-grandchildren, Josie, Deanna, Lucas, Joshua, Austin, Riley, Nadaleigh, Nathan and Jacob; sister, Charlotte Eberbach and her husband, Chuck, of Michigan; brother, Blake Thibodeau and his wife, Deloris, of Dedham; brother-in-law, Earl Taylor and his wife, Judy, of Bangor; many nieces, nephews and cousins; lifelong and new friends of the Brewer McDonald's coffee group; and a very special friend, Gene Merrill. In addition to her parents and her husband, Wilfred "Bill," she was predeceased by her 4-year-old son, Mark, in 1960; brother, Garth; and sister, Avis. Helen, also known as Meme, will be sadly missed by all who loved her. The family extends a special thanks to Kim of Hospice of Eastern Maine, and the family wishes a very special thank you to Katherine and Michael for their caring of our mother the last eight years. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 4-7 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main St., Brewer. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, April 20, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 531 North Main St., Brewer. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments after the interment in the Family Reception Rooms of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main St., Brewer.
