TAVARES, Fla. - Mrs. Barbara Trefethen, 87, passed away peacefully March 16, 2013, in Tavares, Fla. She was born in Ellsworth, in 1926, the child of the late Agnes and John Grey. She was married to the late Ernest Trefethen.

Barbara was a graduate of Brewer High School and worked many years for Sears in downtown Bangor as credit manager. She also went into business with her late husband and started American Heritage Real Estate, Bangor. Her biggest passion was, however, Calvary Baptist Church, Brewer, where she volunteered her time for many years.

She is survived by her son, Rickey Trefethen of Tavares, Fla.; two sisters, Bernice Ireland and Beryl Marsh, both of Brewer, as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
