BREWER - Ruth E. Wishart, 85, died Jan. 24, 2010, at her home. She was born June 27, 1924, in Brewer, the daughter of Albert and Ruth (Green) Wishart. Ruth taught in area high schools for many years, was a member of Delta Cappa Gamma Society, Epsilon Delta Alumni Sorority at Husson University and was a member of Penobscot County Retired Teachers Association. She is survived by her sister and husband, Lois and Clive Babkirk Sr. of New Market, Va.; her nephew, Clive Babkirk Jr. of Timberville, Va.; three nieces, Dianne Fraits of Timberville, Va., Darbie Demers of Epsom, N.H., and Cheryl Kollett of Chichester, N.H.; nine great-nieces and great-nephews, and 12 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Aunt Ruth was much loved by her sister and family, and will be truly missed. Graveside services will be held later this spring at Harts Corner Cemetery, Holden, at a time and date to be announced.
