Louise Walls (Russel) - Class Of 1948

BRUNSWICK - Louise Mae Russell, 80, of Cumberland Street, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at a Portland hospital. Louise was born June 15, 1930, in Calais, a daughter of Melvin E. and Doris Grasse Walls. She attended Brewer schools and graduated from Brewer High School in 1948. A homemaker most of her life, Louise had also worked as a secretary at Banks Auto Supply, Furbish Roberts and Magazine Inc., Bangor. She was a member of Bangor Emblem Club, Brewer Recreation Organization and Brookton-Forest City Canadian Club. She had lived in Brunswick for 11 years, coming from Brewer and Forest City. She served as commissioner of Brunswick Housing Authority and was also a member of 55 Plus. Some of her favorite things to do were fishing, snowmobiling, walking through the woods, doing crafts and spending time at her camp on East Grand Lake. Louise especially enjoyed spending time with her only daughter, Lynn; and her niece, Sue Bone. She is predeceased by her husband, Roland "Kip" Russell, in 1988; her brother, Herbert Graham; and her sister, June Bone. Surviving are her daughter, Lynn and her husband, Robert Ouellette, of Spring Hill, Fla., and Brunswick; two stepgrandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
