Eleanor Read (Bagley) - Class Of 1952

Eleanor J. BagleyOld Town - Eleanor (Read) Bagley, 90, passed away April 6, 2024. She was born in Stillwater, November 20, 1933, the daughter of Arthur and Marion (Young) Read.
Eleanor graduated from Brewer High School class of 1952. She worked at Butterfield Bottling and Northeast Bank and Trust. Eleanor and Red purchased Bagley's Grocery in Stillwater, and operated it for a number of years along with Bagley's Bakery. After retirement she and Red traveled in their motor home. She was treasurer of the Good Sam Campers and of the PVA Campground. Eleanor was a member and treasurer of the Stillwater Federated Church and a member of the Old Town Schoolboard.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Kathleen Bagley Marcho; sister and brother-in-law, Arline and Richard Deshane. Surviving are her husband, Hazen "Red" Bagley; children, Vanessa Redman and husband, John, Wayne Bagley and wife, Janet; son-in-law, Arthur Marcho; eight grandchildren, Trevor Marcho and wife, Lynn, Jillian Woodbury and husband, Jeffery, Joshua Marcho, Andrea and Deidre Redman, Wayne Bagley Jr., Bruce Bagley and wife, Allison, and Joanne Bagley; seven great-grandchildren, Oscar, Nora, Clayton, Alec, Paisley, Philip and Cody; two brothers, Bernard Read and Allan Read; her canine companion, Baxter; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
