BROCKTON, Mass. – Ann Abbott, 64, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at a Brockton hospital after a long illness. She was born in Bangor the daughter of the late Wendell L. and Anna P. (McEachern) Abbott. She was educated in the Brewer school system and continued on with her education to become a bio-chemist. She had been a resident of Brockton, Mass. and prior to that had lived in Boston. She worked as a bio-chemist for the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in Boston for more than 40 years before retiring. She was an active member of the Central United Methodist Church in Brockton. She enjoyed traveling, nature and spending time with her family. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Jere E. “Jane” (Abbott) Armstrong of Orland; one niece, Kimberly Ann Armstrong of Arizona; one nephew, Kevin Armstrong and his wife, Shelia, of Maine; one great-nephew, Michael Armstrong, also of Maine. At Ann’s request there will be no services. Donations in Ann’s memory may be sent to the Central United Methodist Church, 35 West Elm St., Brockton, MA 02301 or to a favorite animal shelter.
