Eleanor Campbell (England) - Class Of 1944

Eleanor Frances EnglandBrewer - Eleanor Frances England passed away peacefully at a local nursing home on October 4, 2024. She was born in Orono, Maine, on March 17, 1926, to Robert Campbell and Frances (Bartlett) Campbell.
The Campbell family eventually moved to Brewer where Eleanor graduated from high school and where she met Paul England Sr., who she would marry on June 13, 1944. They made their home on Chamberlain Street in Brewer, where they raised their four children. Beginning in the late 1970s and up until Paul's passing in 2004, they would spend their summers in Maine and winters in Seminole, Florida.
Eleanor was predeceased by her husband of sixty years, Paul; her parents; and her four siblings, Avis (Campbell) Flynn, Robert Campbell, Edward Campbell, and Corinne (Campbell) Gordon. She is survived by her four children, Paul England Jr. of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and his wife, Paula, Jane Torre of Bangor, James England and his wife, Teresa, of Dedham, and Joseph England and his wife, Susan, of Brewer; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Woodlands Senior Living of Brewer and Gentiva Hospice for their care and kindness. Eleanor will be interred next to her loving husband in Pine Grove Cemetery in Bangor. A date for a graveside remembrance for family members will be announced in the near future.
