Bangor and Otis - David Augustus McKay, 85, passed away peacefully on Oct. 26, 2024. He was born in Brewer, on Dec. 17, 1938, to Augustus and Mildred (York) McKay.
He graduated Brewer High in 1956 and in 1958 began a 42 year career with Eastern Fine Paper. In his younger years he enjoyed snowsledding, ice fishing, hunting, gardening, and a Budweiser or two. After retirement, David enjoyed his residence on Beech Hill Pond, a neatly stacked wood pile, growing tomatoes, and a warm fire.
He was predeceased by his brother, Gerald McKay; his sister, Norine Holt; and nephew, Randy McKay. David is survived by a niece and nephews.
