Charles Adams - Class Of 1952

Charles F. AdamsBrewer - Charles F. Adams, 90, passed away peacefully February 6, 2025, at his home,  with family and friends by his side. He was born August 24, 1934, in Brewer, the son of Francis H. and Mildred E. (Holyoke) Adams.
Charles graduated from Brewer High School, class of 1952. Shortly after graduation, he  met Phyllis Clough, and September 3, 1955, they were married. Charles worked as an engineer for Bangor and Aroostook Railroad and retired after 42 years of service. An avid outdoorsman, Charles enjoyed fishing, hunting and working in his garden. He was faithful fan of both local and New England teams.
In addition to his parents, Charles was predeceased by his loving wife of 58 years, Phyllis; and his sister, Anne Kimball. He is survived by his son, Charles Adams Jr. and his wife, Sangdao; daughter, Beth Torname and her husband, Michael; grandchildren, Kristen, Jessica, Ryan and Carl; great-grandchildren, Cullen and Cooper; and a very special friend, Dee Knowlton.
The family wishes to extend a heart-felt thank you to the staff of Beacon Hospice.
A celebration of Charles' life will he held from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2025, in the Family Reception Rooms of Brookings-Smith, 55 S. Main Street, Brewer. A private interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer, will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to remember Charles in a special way may make gifts in his memory to Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, 41 State House Station, 353 Water St., Augusta, ME 04333-0041.
