BANGOR - Dorothy E. MacLeod, age 91, passed away March 23, 2015. Dorothy was born March 26, 1923, in Waterville, Maine, the daughter of Harold L. and Etta (Simpson) Rand.

She was a graduate of Brewer High School and was employed for many years at Eastern Fine Paper Company and Viner Shoe Company. In her later years she worked at Dead River Company. Dot was a member of the First Congregational Church of Brewer. She loved dancing, walking and especially treasured family gatherings. After her retirement she looked forward to spending the cold Maine winters in Florida with her daughter, Terry and family.

Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Steven B. MacLeod and wife, Jeannie, of Vermont and Larry A. MacLeod and wife, Martha, of Brewer; three daughters, Terry L. Robinson of West Palm Beach, Florida, Susan J. Dyer and husband, Jeff, of Glenburn and Sherry L. Premuroso and husband, Ron, of Missoula, Montana; ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Dot also leaves one sister, Janet Ramsdell of Bangor; and a very special friend, Lee Sirabella of Brewer. Dot was predeceased by one sister, Dolores Beaulieu; and one brother, Kenneth Rand.

The family of Dot MacLeod wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the entire staff of Ross Manor for the loving care and kindness provided everyday of her stay with them.

Burial and graveside services will be held at a later date.
