HAMPDEN - Norine Evelyn (McKay) Holt, 85, died April 12, 2016 at her home. She was born September 13, 1930 in Brewer the daughter of Augustus and Mildred (York) McKay.

Norine was a graduate of Brewer High School, Class of 1948. She worked for 20 years in the office at the McGraw School in Hampden. Norine was a member of the Red Hat Society of Bangor "Babes in Bonnets," life member of the Sunshine Club for Children, Past President of the Whitcomb-Baker V.F.W. auxiliary, Post No. 4633, Hampden, Charter member of Ankh Temple #160 Daughters of the Nile and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Millwee Chapter 198 Orrington. She and her husband Richard loved spending Saturday nights at the Hampden Snowmobile Club's baked bean suppers and talking with longtime friends.

In addition to her parents, Norine was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Richard I. Holt; and one brothers, Gerald McKay. She is survived by her children, Steven R. Holt and wife, Carol, of Scarborough, Peter D. Holt of Westbrook and Susan N. Butler and husband, Michael, of Sunapee, N.H.; one special granddaughter, Michelle Holt of Scarborough; brother, David McKay; several nephews; two step grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren that she loved dearly, Caleb & Aila and Joshua & Quentin Butler; and special friends, Jim and Phyllis Bartlett of Hampden and Willard and Marlene Hillier of Hampden.
