Harry Rollins Houston was born on 2 March 1928, in Bangor, Penobscot, Maine, United States, his father, Howard Raymond Houston, was 39 and his mother, Ethel Elizabeth Rollins, was 37. He married Betty Jane Grierson on 17 December 1950, in Maine, United States. He lived in Brewer, Penobscot, Maine, United States for about 20 years. He died on 1 October 2011, at the age of 83, and was buried in Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, King, Washington, United States.
