Worked 27 years for the postal service on the nightshift, just retired in 2013, to spend more time with the 3 grandkids, stop and smell more roses, and reconnect with old friends at the senior center. There are good points to becoming a 'senior'. My son became VP of Abbott Labs, covering Europe before age 40. This enabled me to travel with him, as well as see Belgium, Paris, Amsterdam, Las Vegas, MN, OH, Hollywood, The Villages FL, NYC, and many other parts of the US. My daughter is a guidance counselor locally, and loves her job. I still prefer the simple life here in central Maine where life is familiar and relatively safe.

Many thanks to Mr. Clayton Rogers who provided me with a lifelong income directly related to his ability as a typing teacher. Many of the classes and teachers in Commercial I are remembered fondly. I wish I had gone into teaching myself as the educational field schedule is very appealing while raising a family, and enjoying summer vacations and school vacations with the kiddos. Funny school story...? I do remember a very stern teacher with braids wrapped around her head, who tapped me with the ruler and said...''don't wear that short dress again"...in my defense, I was reaching up to the top shelf in my locker. She would be horrified to see what the kiddos are wearing now !
