Went to USU for a year (88-89), went to Germany on a mission at the time the Berlin Wall fell, came home and changed my major to music, broke off my education and got married in '93 in Germany. Flew back to Utah in '94, worked a number of low-paying jobs while raising a family. Tried and failed going back to college in '96 while working full-time (those of you who did this and actually succeeded, my respect). Got on at Autoliv in '97 and worked there till 2004, when I basically decided "no money's worth this!" (i.e. "take this job and...", i.e. "extreme burnout"). Did a solo music album in late 2004, but didn't have enough charisma to do much in the marketing of it. Tried setting up a home studio business in 2004-2006 which never quite got off the ground--hey, I'm an artist, not a businessman! Worked a couple more odd jobs until my wife and I decided her homeland of Germany was worth a try. Sold home and moved there in 2007, with my wife and our three kids. They're doing great, wife's glad to be around her family again, and I'm...not sure...we'll see. But I'm blessed to have such an incredible wife and awesome kids! For all those who thought I was destined to be a computer-programming rocket scientist who listens to nothing but classical music, sorry...but apparently that stereotype didn't apply to me after all.

Most of my good highschool memories usually have something to do with music--whether at school or our own band some of us formed. We had a pep band that really rocked back then--being a part of that will always be a great memory. Also had some fun/weird times in the writing lab after school. Don't really have any major high school stories to tell. I guess I was more of a "spectator" when I wasn't behind a contrabass clarinet or a keyboard.
