I graduated from USU in 1992 with a BS in Math Education. My first teaching job was at good 'ole BEHS with some of our past High School Teachers....it was WEIRD talking on a first name basis so I still called them Mr. Schow, Mrs. Nielson, and so on. I survived my first three years of teaching there. Quite a few times I asked myself, "Did I act like that when I was in High School?" I'm sure I did! I then taught at Adele C. Young Intermediate School when it opened and was there for 5 years. Then we moved to Las Vegas where my husband works as a Medical Dosimetrist. He plans radiation treatments for cancer. I taught one year at a Performing Arts High School and then decided I needed to "destress" and stay home so I could have another child. It worked. Now we have two cute girls who keep me busy with swimming, soccer, piano and the mall. Now I am an in-home math tutor and get to hang out with some pretty amazing kids. It's great. I plan on returning to the classroom in a few years. We have been living la vida loca in Las Vegas for 7 years now, even though I said I would never live here. We have met some awesome people and Vegas has been good to us. My husband is in the USAF reserves and served in Afghanistan last year. I am so proud of him-GO USA! Thank you to all the men and women who serve!!!!!!!!!!! When we're not back to reality we are either at the beach in San Diego, 4-wheeling in the dunes, camping, traveling or watching 'Phantom of the Opera'-the Vegas show is awesome.
I fell down two flights of stairs my very first day of High School and someone yelled "FRESHMAN!" at me. Maybe you witnessed it and you're having flashbacks this very moment-ha ha, you can stop laughing now. I never wore those shoes again.
