Charles H. "Chuckie" Tartaglia Jr.

TARTAGLIA, Charles H. "Chuckie" Jr. 46, of West Bridgewater, passed away peacefully under the care of his family and hospice on Saturday evening, November 14, 2009 in his home that was filled with his family and love after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife, Christine S. (Liatsos) Tartaglia. Chuckie was born October 16, 1963 in Brockton, he was the devoted son of Charles H. Tartaglia, Sr. and Penelope A. (Neagle) Tartaglia of South Easton. Raised in Brockton, he graduated from Brockton High School in 1982 and then received an Associate’s Degree in Business from Massasoit Community College. Chuckie worked his whole life at his family's restaurant business, George's Café of Brockton since a young child. There he worked alongside of his parents, sisters, and his own sons. Chuckie enjoyed being involved in Community activities, he enjoyed donating his time and food to several school, sports, and civic events in the Brockton and West Bridgewater area. Chuckie especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Whether it was teaching his sons how to play sports, watching them play sports, watching sports on TV with them, or playing miniature golf; he always did it full of life and with a smile. He would enjoy family and friends’ cookouts and spending summers in Dennisport. He was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriot's Fan. Chuckie is survived by the love of his life, Christine S. (Liatsos) Tartaglia of West Bridgewater; loving father of Andrew C. Tartaglia, Ryan J. Tartaglia, Eric L. Tartaglia and "Cooper" all of West Bridgewater; Devoted son of Charles H. Tartaglia, Sr. and Penelope A. (Neagle) Tartaglia of South Easton; his best friend and sister, Diane M. "Dee-Dee" Kashgagian and her husband Chris of Brockton; son-in-law of Arthur and Elaine Liatsos of Yarmouth; brother-in-law of David Franciosi of South Easton, Julie Snow and her husband Dan of Marshfield, J.J. Liatsos and his wife Barbara of Milford; uncle of Matthew and Rachel Franciosi, Nicholas, Anthony and Sarah Kashgagian, Michele and Sarah Snow, and Elizabeth and Katie Liatsos; he is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was the brother of the late Paula J. Franciosi. Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (RT123) BROCKTON on Thursday at 9:00AM thence to St. Ann Church, 103 No. Main St., West Bridgewater at 11:00AM where a funeral mass was celebrated for the repose of his soul. Interment followed in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Calling hours were Wednesday 3:00-8:00PM.
