About Us

Dancing with the WEIAA Ceili Dancers includes the following benefits:

  • The first class is free of charge.  After that, attendance is $3 per person or $5 per couple, per class. There is no membership fee for the WEIAA.
  • The Celtic Connection newsletter, which contains information about club members and activities.
  • The annual WEIAA ceili, held the third Sunday in October of each year.  This Irish social dance gives us a chance to gather with other ceili groups, share refreshments and dance to live music.  Admission has been $13. per person.
  • A Christmas party, held in December, free of charge for members, their families and friends.  Refreshments are provided by members, and dancing is to recorded music.
  • Performances
  • Teaching ceilis to introduce Irish dance to others.
  • Travel to ceilis hosted by other groups.

Our motto is "Keeping alive the traditions of Irish dance, music and the arts".  This club is about people, enjoyment and having fun.  The dancing is a common interest that brings us together and that is what makes the group special.
