I am so sorry to hear this news this week... I searched for an obituary and found this - just wanted to share -

The last time I saw Rodney was at a 1970 class reunion about 1995, I think... So sorry to hear he's no longer with us... Thanks for the dance, Rodney....
I remember a bus ride to OKC with our 9th grade Home Ec class only because Susan had brought oranges, not to eat, but to practice giving herself shots... she had been diagnosed with diabetes....
And who can forget the parties at the Spoon house? I still laugh at one spin the bottle moment. I was the spinner and it landed on Bobby Miller. We went to the laundry room where he jumped up and sat on the washer so he would be the right height! Holy cow.... that had to have been 45, 46 years ago! And those slumber parties.... it's where I learned everything I ever needed to know... lol
A few days before Susan's death she was going to meet up with a few of us for lunch. She no longer drove but was taking a bus to town to stay with her family for a few days... Received a call from her mother on the morning of our lunch date that she had been taken to the hospital. She died soon after....
Here it is all these years later and I still remember how stunned I was... We took and still take so much for granted....
Susan was a beautiful girl. So sorry she is no longer here with her friends and loved ones.....
Debbie was our Whoopi Goldberg - funny, smart, unafraid, independent, confident, honest.... so honest I admit I had my feelings hurt many times by her.... but she was a huge part of my growing up life... from trying to talk me into trying out for cheerleader... really?.... that was so not me... to arguing with me about what is profit and what is investment.... to discussing the shape of my son's head...to explaining the birds and the bees at slumber parties.... she was one of a kind.....
