Well let's see - since graduating from ole BAHS - I went to college in Tonkawa at Northern Oklahoma College. Finished one year then married in July 1989. Exactly 9 months later came our 1st son, Blake. Then 13 months later came our son, Dylan born with Down Snydrome. He is the love of my life.
Became a stay home mom after Dylan was born due to living in and out of the hospital for months. Finally went back to college for business. After a couple of years working for an Insurance Agency decided business wasn't really what I liked.
Went to work for the school district as a teacher's assistant then moved to the secretary position of the Alternative Programs. I loved it - I was there almost 10 years. Left the school for a well deserved break!
About 9 years ago I got involved in Special Olympics for Dylan; I have been the Head Coach for the past 5 years. We feel very blessed to be involved. Our entire family works with the team. So, now my days include Special Olympics year-round, my husband's karate, Blake's wrestling, and Dylan's non stop activities.
Special Olympics has become a fulltime job for me! I am loving it!
It is almost that time for my son, Blake to be graduating! Hard to believe!
