I graduated with my BS from the University of Oklahoma (go Sooners!) in May of 1993 and moved a few weeks later to Cincinnati where I met my future husband, also a PT. We married in September, 1994. After living in Cincinnati only one year (and blinded by love) I was coerced into moving to Johnstown, PA (better known as armpit of America). There we started our family and after 9 long, gut-wrenching (ha) years we FINALLY moved south to warmer weather and good ole' southern hospitality. I really got spoiled growing up in Oklahoma where friendliness abounds. You Okies are lucky to have good-hearted people
near you! I feel lucky too because we love it here in NC. We have been here five years and will probably stay for many more. Our children keep us extremely busy with their sports, dance and drama events. We are always meeting new, fun families! We have been blessed with so many awesome friends and neighbors. What relief and satisfaction it is to be somewhere you truly love. If only NC bordered OKLAHOMA!!!!!
School Story:
Almost all of my memories were great ones! I have strong, fond memories of being in the Pride of BA, OBA contests (and state championship our Junior year), Band Queen, homecoming court (and the "Bailey" chant that night on the football field...I cried!), saying the pledge and doing announcements everyday, student council meetings and conventions, singing "Help Me Rhonda" and "New York, New York" in the cafeteria at South Intermediate in the mornings waiting for the bell with Jill Booth, renting "The Wall" almost every Friday night with Booth (scary), NBA and the Heman-Woman-Haters rival, our "NBA" entry in the Senior class party when we sang and danced to Grease (and lost that little competition to last-minute entrants Chris Simmons and Lance King?!!!), swimming parties at Warnock's, Chicago Bears watch parties at my house, memories of Russel Barr that still make me about wet myself!!!, horseback riding with the boys in Bixby.... and so much more...I could go on and on but some of this is getting a bit personal! Those were fun times for me on the whole. These memories and the people who made them with me will forever be in my heart. I miss the good old days!!!
