JIM ERICKSON

After graduating from high school, I went on to get my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in civil engineering. I became obsessed with bodybuilding, and continue competing in that sport. A few years later, I had the opportunity to work as Rob Halford's (singer, Judas Priest) personal bodyguard and tour the world. Traveled to 20 countries and four continents. Best experience of my life. I also worked for the late great "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott (Pantera/Damageplan). I continue to work occassionally for Judas Priest.

I was a "nerd" for sure...I had no social life at all. I've made up for it since ;) I concentrated my whole like during high school to be accepted to West Point and the Coast Guard Academy, which I (thnakfully) accomplished. Quickly realized that life was not for me, and came back to OK. I think I partly took up bodybuilding to change my physical appearance. Jonah Vandiver and Craig Zeller corrupted me the summer after I graduated! I'm sure if I show up at the 20-year reunion, no one will recognize me. I hope I can make it! Looks like there are plenty of people I knew in HS with interesting stories. I guess we all do!
